About Us

ACMP Baltic

At the ACMP Baltic Chapter (emerging), we are motivated by a single objective: to build a community of like-minded professionals committed to leading the way change works. We strive to develop productive connections, support personal and professional growth, and make a positive impact in the world with all of our endeavors.

ACMP Vision & Mission

ACMP’s vision is to lead the way change works. Our vision statement reflects an aspiration to innovate and lead change practices, in addition to managing change. Our focus is on using our professional expertise to achieve business and organizational results.

ACMP’s mission is to serve as an independent and trusted source of professional excellence, advocate for the discipline and create a thriving change community. Our mission statement reflects our commitment to our members that ACMP will advocate globally for the recognition of the existence and value of our profession.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Our official Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) statement, approved by the ACMP Board of Directors on May 28, 2021, was created by and for ACMP members and its staff. Seeking to create a community where all members can learn and grow as change professionals and leaders, ACMP endeavors to lend its voice to the conversation in support of a more just world. The ACMP DEI statement builds upon our Code of Ethics based on ‘respect and fairness.’ This statement is part of ACMP’s ongoing journey, and we are committed to developing actionable and measurable outcomes.

Diversity across ACMP Global strengthens our ability to lead how change works.

Our community thrives because we value differences, fairness, and belonging. We acknowledge inequities exist around the world and we commit to:

  • Discover the filters through which we experience the world around us
  • Challenge ourselves through curiosity and learning
  • Respect and value every person
  • Nurture and elevate diverse perspectives
  • Create open and safe environments for collaboration
  • Seek equitable outcomes

These commitments guide our ongoing journey.

History

In 2009, a group of more than 200 visionary change practitioners from around the world participated in a World Café exercise hosted by Prosci. They began a dialogue around developing and promoting best practices that would recognize and elevate change management as a valued, professional discipline. From that point on, a group of volunteers worked to establish the Association of Change Management Professionals® (ACMP®) as a professional association dedicated to advancing the discipline of change management.

ACMP was officially incorporated in February 2011 and launched the membership organization at the first ACMP Global Change Conference. The annual Global Change Management Conference now draws more than 1,100 participants from across the globe and is recognized as the leading education and professional networking conference for change thought leaders and practitioners around the world for discovery and experience of new trends and best practices in change management. In 2011, ACMP also developed the Change Management Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct to set expectations for professional and personal conduct of change management practitioners.

In 2014, ACMP published the Standard for Change Management©. The Standard serves as the foundation for the change management professional credential and is intended to create a common definition and understanding of the discipline of change management. The Standard was developed through a global, voluntary consensus standards development process, consistent with ISO (International Organization for Standardization) practices.

ACMP launched the Qualified Education Provider (QEP™) Program in 2014 to evaluate change management training and education courses. The QEP promotes consistency in courses by ensuring they align to the Standard, incorporate adult education best practices and prepare practitioners for the Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™) examination.

In 2016, for the first time ever, more than 300 change management practitioners received an industry-recognized credential – the Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™)!
